Here is a typical down pipe installation. It will be a wet sump installation. Note the water being directed to the corner of the Sludge Buster for maximum filtration efficiency. Also note the angles that a long drop into the Sludge Buster that prevent splashing in the first filter area. A nice feature the home ower wanted to add were drain holes in the drain to the street. I would be judicious in where the holes are for fear of leaves never making it to the street.
